ONE COMPACT SYSTEM • TWO MISSION-CRITICAL CAPABILITIES

MCD® Military Compact Descender®

The MCD® is a compact, self-contained descent and rescue system designed to support personal egress, assisted rescue, and controlled lowering in elevated and high-risk military environments.

  • Military Evacuation Device

    PERSONAL EGRESS & SELF-RESCUE

Controlled Descent When Immediate Egress Is Critical

The MCD® provides controlled personal descent with one-hand operation. When the control is released, the passive brake stops the descent and holds the operator securely in position with both hands free. The system can also be configured for assisted rescue and controlled lowering of personnel or equipment.

    • Activates and controls descent with one hand
    • Passive brake stops descent and holds the operator hands-free
    • Deployable from moving and stationary elevated structures
    • Supports assisted rescue and controlled casualty lowering
    • Lowers mission-critical equipment with controlled braking
    • Customizable by rope length and packaging

  • ASSISTED RESCUE & CONTROLLED LOWERING

    Extend the MCD® Beyond Self-Rescue

The same MCD® can be configured for assisted rescue, enabling an operator to lower personnel who cannot self-evacuate or move mission-critical equipment from an elevated position.

    • Supports assisted rescue from elevated environments
    • Enables controlled lowering of an injured or incapacitated person
    • Provides controlled lowering of mission-critical equipment
    • Maintains operator-controlled braking throughout the lowering operation

"On the morning of September 11, 2001, I watched the tragedy unfold and kept asking myself: how was it possible that people trapped in burning buildings had no way to get down safely? That question became Tech Safety Lines."
